Your body is designed to adapt to change. When the nervous system and musculoskeletal system are functioning well together, many women report feeling more at ease through hormonal shifts, pregnancy, and recovery after birth. Care is always tailored to your individual needs and may form part of a broader approach to health.
Supporting Hormonal Changes and Mood
Hormonal fluctuations are a natural part of life, from menstrual cycles to perimenopause. While chiropractic care does not regulate hormones, it may support overall wellbeing by addressing spinal tension and helping the body function more comfortably.
Physical tension can also contribute to feelings of stress and general discomfort. Many patients report feeling more relaxed and at ease with regular care. While chiropractic does not treat mental health conditions, improving physical comfort may support a more balanced sense of wellbeing.

Pregnancy and Postpartum Care
Chiropractic care during pregnancy is adapted to each stage and individual needs. Techniques such as the Webster Technique, Sacro Occipital Technique (SOT), and the Activator Method may be used to support pelvic comfort and reduce musculoskeletal tension.
The Webster Technique is a gentle approach focused on the pelvis, sacrum, and surrounding ligaments, helping to reduce tension and support pelvic balance. Sacro Occipital Technique (SOT) uses cushioned blocks placed under the pelvis, allowing gravity to assist positioning and support alignment in a low-force way. The Activator Method uses a handheld instrument to deliver precise, low-force adjustments without twisting movements.
Care may begin while trying to conceive and continue throughout pregnancy and postpartum. After birth, care may support physical recovery by addressing posture, spinal alignment, and pelvic comfort.
When to Start and When to Seek Advice
Chiropractic care can begin before pregnancy or at any stage, depending on your needs and preferences.
However, care may not be appropriate in certain situations, including unexplained vaginal bleeding, placenta-related complications, severe pre-eclampsia, signs of preterm labour, or other conditions requiring medical care. If you are unsure, it’s important to speak with your healthcare provider before starting care.
